I always had great connections in the Magento ecosystem in Europe, nonetheless I have never visited the Old Continent. As soon as I heard Inchoo would be organizing Developers Paradise I became instantly excited!
This is an annual conference of Magento community whose prime target is to enable "lots of code and fun in the sun". According to the organization, over the last five years, more than 1000 participants from 30 different countries (mostly european) were brought together to one place under the event. The event took place in the awesome Grand Hotel 4 Flowers in Opatija - Croatia, during April 25-28th of 2016 and had 150 attendees in this edition.
I spent around 30 hours of my life going from Curitiba, Brazil to Opatija, Croatia - and more 30 hours to go back (geeeez). But what makes me happy is that all efforts and investiments made were worthy at the end of the journey!
My plan was to go to the conference... and since I was already in Europe why not enjoying a couple of days touristing in Paris, France?!
The beauty of this country is unique and I encourage you to attend just all conferences in Croatia! The event didn't take place in the capital (Zagreb), rather it was in the coast (Opatija).
The Developers Paradise's main approach was promoting as much as possible Magento 2, thus all talks had to be strictly related to Magento 2-only. The idea behind was pushing the great gathering of Developers, CTO's, Agencies, Company founders, and the entire community to adopt the major release.

Probably you are familiar with most of the speakers' faces. They are very active on Twitter (#realmagento hastag), Stack Overflow, Blogging tutorials & other.
As you can see the room is full of devs! Ideas were proposed and distributed among teams. Each one of them had to create a module for Magento 2 or a specific enhancement on the platform. My team was a set of a Brazilian (me), two Germans, a Ukranian, a Romenian and a Bulgarian!
Partying is an essencial "mechanism" to meet more people and it's not different in the community. We had lots of parties during the 4 days!
By using the hashtag #DevParadise you can follow the even't news. Additionally all official photos were posted here.
Inchoo team has been done a great job! Thanks for the hard work and making this event unique!
Big thanks to the world class @inchoo team for organising #DevParadise!!! pic.twitter.com/fdVrR8AUcE
